Salary: £14 p/hr |Part time (1 day p/w)| London/ Remote

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Freelance Programme Coordinator to join our journey and support on the delivery of community-engaged oral history project recovering hidden histories connected to St Agnes Place, South London.

The role will include:

  • Liaising with collaborators and partners

  • Managing social media, communications and website

  • Overseeing programme schedule, invoicing and budgets

  • Collecting information to support with project progress and reporting

  • Supporting freelancers, community producers and volunteers to undertake research activities

  • Organising of workshops and events

  • Monitoring emails and general upkeep of project folders and documents

This role will be suitable for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience developing and supporting heritage and creative projects that recover African and Caribbean histories. The ideal candidate will have some experience coordinating and planning small scale projects.

Candidate qualities:

  • Proven experience coordinating projects

  • Strong administrative and organising skills

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Positive and collaborative attitude with ability to work independently

  • Interest in African and Caribbean history and heritage
