OPEN CALL: Feedforward Sessions
For educators, researchers, creatives and cultural producers
Deadline: 13 May 2025
Are you working on a research, creative or education project or piece of work exploring the legacies of the Transatlantic Trafficking of Enslaved Africans (TTEA)? We’re inviting artists, educators, cultural producers and researchers to share work-in-progress as part of our Feedforward sessions — a peer-led space for honest reflection, gentle feedback and collaborative growth.
Why we’re doing this
The Feedforward strand is part of the History for our Future Learning Network, a London-wide initiative supporting people working on the histories and legacies of the Transatlantic Trafficking of Enslaved Africans. These sessions are designed to support projects in development by offering time, community, and constructive conversation.
What selected participants receive
£500 honorarium
A peer learning session focused on your project
Feedback and support from a diverse group of practitioners
The opportunity to shape future commissions and network resources
A space to reflect and refine your practice in a trusted setting
What we’re looking for
We’re particularly interested in proposals that:
Are connected to London (by location, theme, or where the work will be delivered)
Are rooted in or meaningfully engage with the legacies of TTEA
Are open to development — with potential for the Feedforward session to shape or influence the direction of the work
We welcome early-stage ideas, experimental formats, and contributions from both emerging and experienced practitioners.
